  BTM (Background Translation Memory) is translation memory, which has precedence over the active TM. Into the translated document offers a translation only with the 100% match. The translation is subsequently stored in the active TM.

The size is not limited:

  • in the figure is sorted active BTM with 2.742 translation units

  • the main purpose of the use of the BTM is to use the existing TM and do not make the changes in them

  • and make use of them in the context search
If interested I am offering the CD-ROM bilingual corpus the Acquis Communaire 2.2, the languages of the EU, when one of the languages is Czech or English.   The CS-HU file has 283,821 translation units.
